Testing a thrust reverser or thrust reversing actuator system requires not only powerful, fast responding load actuation systems to mimic the complex load profile that the UUT (Unit Under Test) experiences, it also requires a high performance control system. The load profile seen by the thrust actuation system goes from a positive force through zero and then back to a negative force. During this short actuation cycle getting the control system to provide the required response not only requires the right hardware but knowledge of developing and implementing advanced control techniques. At WTI we are able to provide our system engineering experience to produce a system capable of all of this regardless of whether you prefer using hydraulics or an electronic actuator to simulate the load. Combining this with high speed real-time control using advanced FPGA and real-time processors we are able to produce systems with outstanding performance and reliability.
