On Tuesday September 29th, Wineman Technology (WTI) will be participating in the College of Engineering Pre-Gallery Co-op/Intern Day at Michigan State University (MSU). The purpose of this event is to offer students the chance to explore companies offering internships and co-op opportunities as well as provide employers with an opportunity to review talent and arrange interviews.
Wineman Technology Inc. (WTI) has experienced significant growth in the past couple of years and our Saginaw office location has been stretched to capacity, especially during peak production times. To address this issue and to provide room for future expansion, we are pleased to announce that we have purchased the building adjacent to our Saginaw location. This building, formerly owned by AHB, Inc., will add 4,000 square feet of office space and 9,000 square feet of shop space, doubling the capacity of the existing facility. A planned 2,500 square foot addition, connecting the two buildings, will provide enough space for years of growth at our present location.
Wineman Technology and the Wineman family would like to extend their congratulations to the recipients of this year’s college scholarships. The Wineman scholarships are awarded to students who exemplify outstanding scholastic achievement and hard work while earning a degree in engineering.
Shane Oberloier was the 2015 recipient of the Wineman Technology, Inc. Endowed Scholarship at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU). Shane is a senior at SVSU in the electrical engineering department and will be graduating in the spring of 2016. He is from Beaverton, MI and has been a co-op at WTI for almost three years now.
The 2015 recipient of the James A. and Judith J. Wineman Family Scholarship for Engineering at Michigan State University (MSU) was Sam Metivia. Sam is a senior at MSU in the electrical engineering department and will also be graduating this coming spring. He is from Midland, MI and worked at Hemlock Semiconductor this past summer.
Once again, congratulations Shane and Sam, and good luck with your remaining classes.
