Autonomous Six-Wheel Drive (6WD) Dynamometer Control and DAQ System
The Challenge:
Building a state-of-the-art powertrain test cell equipped with six dynamometers with over 1000 kW of absorption capability to test 6WD all-terrain vehicles. The objective of this application was used for development validation to ensure full system capabilities.
The Solution:
Using Wineman Technology’s INERTIA™ test software and National Instruments PXI hardware to simultaneously and independently control each wheel in torque mode, speed mode, or simulation mode using any MATLAB environment such as TruckSim.
