FMVSS207 Seat Test Systems

The FMVSS207 Seat Test System features our INERTIA™ test automation software for executing all tests. Capable of independent or synchronous control on 6 axis, the system is designed to test automotive seats to failure.

Using National Instruments PXI Control and dual user interface computers (clients), this tester allows both 3 ram FMVSS strength testing and dual load fatigue testing on automotive seat samples. Each side of the test system runs autonomously, sharing the power and I/O available in the real-time controller to provide a flexible test system that saves money by sharing hardware and hydraulics.

With the flexibility of our INERTIA™ test automation software, any of the cylinders for both the FMVSS strength tester and the fatigue portion can be programmed to execute complex sequenced load vs. time or position vs. time profiles on sample parts.
